An Introduction to IFS & Other Strategies for Treating Trauma

This presentation will provide attendees with an introduction to the widely growing treatment modality, Internal Family Systems. Participants will learn the goals of IFS, a foundation of IFS parts and the 6 F’s and how to recognize parts with your clients, as well as key neurobiological, anatomical, and chemical factors of trauma that show up in part presentations. Participants will go deeper into understanding common parts that show up for clients with trauma and will gain an understanding of IFS healing steps and additional strategies for working with clients in traumatic healing. Participants will get an opportunity to observe a demonstration of the IFS techniques discussed and will be provided with additional resources for further training or education.
